Through my life, I have been
A Ph.D. Student,

A Wood Stacker
And Much, Much More.
I first started writing science fiction in 2018, while dealing with debilitating chronic illness. Thanks to the miracle of modern medicine, I am doing better and just finished my first fiction book. My illness and technical background help me bring a nerdy nuance to my sci-fi.

Behind the Words
Growing up, I was always able to express myself most through my writing. But, it wasn’t until 2000 that I finally listened to my inner voice and challenged myself to become a published writer. Thank goodness I did. These days, I’m fortunate to have translated this ability into a successful career.
I always strive to learn and develop my literary style and voice, approaching every challenge I come across as an experience to grow and develop as a writer. To find out more or to discuss a potential project, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I've had so many concussions I can't remember how many I had.
I have a tattoo on my wrist, always reminding me of my family.
I broke both arms when I was seven.
I love puns.
I'm lysdexic—I mean dyslexic.
I spent six months in Antarctica on a research project to record earthquakes from around the globe. From this experiment, we learned how the majestic Transantarctic Mountains formed.
Most of my research focused on learning about the interior of the Earth like a ct scan but using earthquakes. Further, I co-developed a volunteer earthquake network with computers, phones, and other devices.
AT ITS BEST.
When my health permits, I love adventuring into the wilderness of Colorado. There is something about nature that grounds me and propels my mind into an imaginative state.
Sharing these experiences with my kids makes it all the more sweet.
I grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Surrounded by the peaceful setting of a redwood forest, I enjoyed long periods of time to use my imagination. Reading, D&D, and the nature. What could be better?
